Hi friends, I started this blog because I wanted to share what God is doing in my life. I wanted to write honestly about some of my struggles and experiences because it is great to get some inspiration when you find your life getting crazy. In short, I am in my forties, married, with two boys. I have my ups and my downs but my worst days were before Christ was the start of my day and before He was the centre of my hopes, desires and achievements. Jesus gives me the reason to keep going, no matter how badly I blow it. He has been my best Friend, my greatest Champion, my best Parent, and Good Shepherd. I have had a lot of hard “stuff” but because of Jesus I have had also had: healing from disease, freedom from sin, restoration in my family, redemption in my mind, wholeness in my heart, grace, mercy, a (mostly)strong marriage and two miracle children… I could keep going with the list of changes I have had in my life since turning my life over to Jesus but the most incredible turn-arounds have been the changes I experience in the deepest recesses of my self. I told someone not too long ago, that I am now someone I can be proud of, the truest and best version of myself, so far. And I am still growing! I have indeed had “beauty for ashes”. Because of who He is and because of what He has done I want to live a life worthy of Him. This is an attempt to share that journey and hopefully be light on a hill that can guide you too.
